How does Design Your Box work?
You work on a photo of a real box, so you see where the artwork sits. It takes a few minutes and costs nothing.
When you finish, you can also ask for a quote sent to your email on the same box.
- Pick the box style closest to what you want.
- Upload your logo and drag it into position.
- Choose plain, one color, two color or full color CMYK print.
- Add notes on size, inside print or finishes.
- Send it to our designers.
Which logo file works best?
A PNG with a clear background or an SVG gives the sharpest edges. A JPG also works if the image is large.
If you are not sure of your box size yet, measure your product inside the box and add the inside length, width and height to your notes.
- Use the highest resolution file you have
- Send one version of the logo per color scheme
- Include brand colors as hex or Pantone codes if you know them
- Tell us if the logo needs to appear on more than one panel
What does the preview show, and what does the proof show?
The preview is a quick guide to placement and general color. The proof is the file we ask you to approve before anything is printed.
| Detail | Preview | Free proof |
|---|---|---|
| Logo position | Shown roughly | Set exactly on the flat layout |
| Ink colors | Close guide | Matched to your artwork notes |
| Fold lines and glue flap | Not shown | Marked on the layout |
| Inside print | Not shown | Added if you ask for it |
| Final approval | Not needed | Required before printing |
How do I get a clean print on kraft board?
Brown kraft board changes how light inks look, so dark single color logos usually read best. Board type matters too, and our comparison of single and double wall boxes explains the choice.
Ask the designer if you want to see the same logo on white board.
- Keep text and logos about 1/4 in away from folds
- Avoid very thin lines on kraft
- Choose bold shapes for large side panels
- Note any matte, gloss, foil or spot UV finish you want
What happens after I send my design?
A designer checks your artwork, places it on the correct flat layout and emails you a proof. You can ask for as many changes as you like.
Production takes 4 to 6 business days after you approve the proof. Your boxes then ship free with tracking, and transit takes 2 to 3 business days to any US address.
